HEAD OF HR FUNCTION

In quest of strengthening our HR & Administration function, we are currently looking to recruit a suitable, qualified, and experienced individual to join our team as the Head of Human Resources. The successful candidate will mainly be responsible for overseeing the smooth operations of the HR department and offer guidance and leadership to the HR & Admin team

Overall responsibilities

  1. Coordinate recruitment and selection activities
  2. Conduct induction and on boarding programs for new members of staff
  3. Develop a robust performance management system
  4. Offer suggestions and support to the AGM in enhancing staff retention with measures that are in line with the Company’s Strategic Plan.
  5. Manage employee training and learning development programs to enhance career development
  6. Assist in developing, reviewing and implementing appropriate Human capital policies & procedures;
  7. Manage the HRMS, producing regular HR reports and maintaining updated HR information Systems
  8. Oversee the maintenance of personnel files
  9. Preparing and administering the Corporation’s payroll
  10. Administer employee benefit programs (medical, gratuity, insurances, pension and group life).
  11. Manage and ensure staff leave is always utilized and updated
  12. Ensure compliance and adherence to company policies, procedures, systems and statutory requirements
  13. Manage staff welfare programs
  14. Dealing with grievances and implementing disciplinary procedures
  15. Coordinate CSR initiatives within the Company
  16. Advise management on HR best practices
  17. Any other tasks that may be assigned to you by your immediate supervisor

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management.
  • Higher Diploma in HR.
  • Master’s degree in HR or other relevant field will be an added advantage
  • At least 5 years’ experience in the HR field
  • Knowledge of the labour/employment law and its practical application
  • Must be a member of IHRM and holding a valid practicing certificate

RE-INSURANCE OFFICER

In quest of strengthening our Reinsurance Department, we are currently looking to recruit two suitable, qualified, and experienced individuals to join our team as Reinsurance Officers. 

Overall responsibilities

  1. RI Inward underwriting – Issuing guarantee policies
  2. Maintaining and updating daily RI reports
  3. PML coordination with UW
  4. Monitoring Earthquake Accumulations 
  5. Maintaining linked policies register
  6. FAC Reinsurance – Outward/Inward
  7. Maintaining Outward expiry Register – renewal notices and invitations
  8. Maintaining treaty ledgers/statements and reconciliations
  9. Outward FAC Re renewal notices and invitations
  10. Cash call requisitions/follow up
  11. Xsol Claims recoveries/statement premiums
  12. Forwarding FAC Re closings to Reinsurers 
  13. Identifying any reconciliation item on treaty and facultative statements between Tausi and Reinsurers.
  14. Treaty and Facultative Reinsurance balance settlements Requisitions.
  15. Any other duty as may be assigned by your supervisor or management

  • Keen attention to detail. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelors’ degree in a business related field
  • Diploma ACII/AIIK will be an added advantage
  • At least two years working experience in the insurance industry
  • Computer literate
